Coronavirus
Dear Ministry of Defence,
Please could you tell me whether 77th Brigade have been involved in messaging audiences or briefing the media to counter coronavirus disinformation. Could I see a list of audiences or countries?
Very grateful for your assistance with my request.
Yours faithfully,
Dr Emma L Briant

Dear Army Sec-Group (MULTIUSER),
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately the information you have sent me does not respond to my request fully. I also asked "Could I see a list of audiences or countries?" and I would appreciate a response to this question. The information you supplied does not refer to it. Also you mention that "conducted under the same rules as the civil servants they are working alongside" could you send me the specific rules that you are referring to?
Yours sincerely,
Dr Emma L Briant
Dear Dr Briant
Thank you for your further email of 13 June, seeking clarification of our response.
As advised, the MOD team has been working within the Cabinet Office's Rapid Response Unit to tackle a range of harmful narratives online. As a UK Government unit, they have two primary audiences - Government Departments and British Citizens, as well as anyone else seeking reliable information online. More information about this unit and how it works is available here:

For more detailed information about the support provided by the Rapid Response Unit as part of the Government's response to the COVID-19 crisis, please contact the Cabinet Office.
