Core Strategy 2012 Planning Inspector Soundness Changes
Dear Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please provide me with the information mentioned in the Core Strategy Planning Inspector's Report (28th November 2011) which resulted in the costs for the Link Road being amended to £3m. This requirement from the Planning Inspector is set out at Paragraph 53 and S300.16 in the Examination report, stating "to reflect up-to-date information concerning the anticipated cost of a road link required to the Location the implementation schedule will be updated in accordance with (S300.16). With these PCs policy SL5 is made sound."

The Core Strategy Schedule of Proposed Changes, October 2011 (attached)
references change S300.16 on page 30. The reason for the change is stated
as ‘To reflect the discussion at Hearing Session 3 (see CD 12.54.7) and to
ensure the soundness of the Plan.’ Document CD 12.54.7 is also attached
this confirms the change to the SL5 Implementation Plan.
The change occurred following a discussion at the Core Strategy
Examination hearings and ‘in response to a question raised by Shell’.
Trafford Council do not hold any further information on the discussion or
the reason for the change.
