I'd wager that HSE will not be carrying out any investigation into this incident as it was in domestic premises and there was no work activity being undertaken. As such, they have no remit here.

Evidently the current Cabinet Ministers are allowed to risk the lives of people by broadcasting dangerous advise and placing innocent people in harms way by crass negligence. Actually placing people in hospital A & E departments with serious petrol burns.

By stating the word evidently, I mean this literally. The above wholly inadequate missive from the Cabinet Office is a disgrace. The FOI systment is clearly not the way to nudge the Cabinet Office into facing up to its responsibilities in collective culpability - hospitalising a member of the public because a of the appaling 'advice' and misconduct of Frances Maude MP. Mr Maude can now expect a formal complaint to be made against him and his actions in THAT television broadcast via more appropriate authorities with the power to sanction any evident infraction of the law.
