Request:

Please supply a copy of the lease for Herne bay Pier granted by Canterbury
City Council to the Herne Bay Pier Trust.

Our response:

The pier has been let in two sections. The lease for the first section has
expired and the trust are in occupation under an implied tenancy while we
negation ate a lease renewal which is currently ongoing. For this reason
there is not a current lease to share in relation to this section.

The other section was let for a term of 19 years and as such is registered
at the [3]Land Registry with copies available directly from the Land
Registry, subject to payment of their fee. As this information is already
within the public domain and available to purchase via the Land Registry,
this information is therefore exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.
