Dear Sir or Madam,

During the recent Parliamentary By-Election for the Henley-on-Thames constituency it has been reported that the Town Clerk in Henley-on-Thames, backed by the Police requested that the English Democratic Party remove the display of the English flag.

It was allegedly stated by the Town Clerk, backed by the accompanying police officer, that the display of the English Flag contravened a by-law.

For the purposes of clarity, a copy of said by-law is requested.

The report of the incident can be read at The Brussels Journal.

Dear Mr Parker-Joseph,

I have researched the information requested by you and attach a copy of
the by-laws relating to Henley-on-Thames which are held by this Council.

I should perhaps mention that the Clerk of Henley Town Council has advised
that persons were not informed that a by-law had been contravened.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Susan Baker
