Copies of Governor's News
Dear Liverpool City Council,
I understand that Liverpool City Council produce a termly magazine for school governors called 'Governor's News'.
I have searched your website and found various issues of this magazine available for download as PDF files.
Unfortunately, there are several gaps in the issues available.
I have managed to find (and download) copies of issues 51, 52 and 55 to 61.
Under the Freedom of Information Act, please could you either provide me with PDF copies of any available issues prior to number 51 and also with issues 53 and 54 or upload these to your website and point me in the direction of where I might be able to find them.
Yours faithfully,
Miss A Charteris

Dear Ms Ali,
Thank you for your prompt reply to my inquiry, I do appreciate the disclosure of some of the information, but I requested PDF copies of ALL issues.
It may be that issues 1 - 42 are not available, but the response does not specifically say so. If they are not available, fair enough - but could you at least confirm this?
Additionally, I find that all the e-mail addresses within the publication have been rendered in a format which makes them unreadable.
I have tried to reproduce the effect here (each word is replaced by a series of xxxx's, but when I preview my reply, what I have typed does not show - which suggests that the change has been effected by staff at this site.
There are no such deletions in the copies which are made available on the city council's website and no exemption has been cited to justify these deletions.
If you have uploaded unedited copies, then please accept my unreserved apologies as the change must have been affected on this site.
In that eventuality, if I contact you directly with my personal e-mail address, would you be able to e-mail me copies of the PDFs without the unnecessary editing?
I am sorry if this imposes a further burden upon you, but I had no idea that your responses would be edited and had I known that by using this site, they would be, I would not have used this site and would have contacted you directly.
Thank you in anticipation of your assistance.
Yours faithfully,
Miss A Charteris
Dear Miss Charteris,
I confirm that our records don't go back beyond issue 43. As for the pdf
records, I had a look back at the copies I sent to you and matched them
with the copies in the what-do-they-know website. I confirm that no
redacting had been done in the pdf files and the omission is from the
website server. I will be happy to re-send the issue if you kindly
provided me with another email address for you.
