Dear Mr Eveleigh,

Thanks very much for your phone call earlier today following up your email request for an update on the progress of your FOI request, below.

Firstly please accept my apologies for not having responded to your request for an update below. I'm afraid this was an oversight on my part as the email I prepared was not sent when I thought I had been.

My reply was to apologise for the delay in responding to your request, and to explain that this was due to a staff movement in the Trust which has caused a delay in responding to your FOI enquiry. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. The Trust endeavours to respond to all Freedom of Information Requests within 20 working days and we're processing your request as a priority.

I have spoken with the Finance department who are compiling the Trust's response and we will come back to you by the end of this week.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Eveleigh,

I wanted to get in touch to apologise for the delay in responding to your FOI request 7050.

Although it was anticipated that it would be possible to respond to you by the end of last week, the team compiling the response have been further delayed by the need to check other sources of correspondence that might possibly be relevant to the request which is taking further working time to complete.

The Trust apologises for the further delay incurred in responding to your request, and we currently working to respond to your enquiry by the end of this working week.

Thank you very much once again for your patience and understanding.

Dear Information, Freedom (WVT),

Many thanks for your response. I would like to make a further request, for information which has for some reason been omitted in the response you've provided. Thus, I would be grateful if you could treat this request not as a new request, but consider it part of my original request and deal with it with appropriate expedience.

An email dated 4/9 from the head of Client Management at Brookson (who recently changed their name to +Us) refers to an attachment called 'Letter for clients that received the DOH letter - Sept 2017.docx'.

That attachment has not been included in your response, but as I requested 'Copies of communications pertaining to letter from Department of Health dated 28/9/17', I consider it key information falling within the remit of my original request.

The same email dated 4/9 from the head of Client Management at Brookson states: "we suggest the following response from your Trust to Mr Eveleigh. This, as basically and simply as our team can make it, addresses the points in our MD's letter of last September, explaining why Brookson does not consider Direct Engagement to be tax avoidance."

But your response to my FOI request does not include the response to my press enquiry which Brookson provided you with.

Can you please provide this response from Brookson referred to in their email 4/9?

Yours sincerely,

Robin Eveleigh
