Dear Barnet Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Barnet Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Contractual arrangements with RM Countryside'.

You have completely ignored this FOI request even though I have sent two follow up reminders and it is months overdue.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,

Akindele, Temidayo, Barnet Borough Council

Dear Mr. Dix,

I write with the council’s response to your internal review request.

On 22 November 2011 you requested the following information:

Please can you provide me with all Delegated Powers Reports that feature
council supplier R.M. Countryside Services Limited since 1 April 2005
(with the exception of DPR1419 which is already available) and a list of
all Barnet Council tenders in which R.M. Countryside Services Limited were
successful since 1 April 2005.

This request was acknowledged on 1 December 2011 but was not responded to.

You sent several chasers; 2 in January and another in March; all of which
were unacknowledged. You requested a review which was also not
acknowledged.

I have now conducted an internal review into the handling of your request
and the outcome of my review is set out below

Response:

Time delay

Under the Freedom of Information Act 200 (FOIA) you should have received a
response 20 working days from the date your request was received.  By
failing to comply with this statutory timeframe the Council erred in the
processing of your request and I apologise on behalf of the council for
this.

I refer to our conversation on 22 April 2012 and my subsequent email of 23
April the wording of which appears below:

We are searching our records in order to confirm whether or not there are
other DPRs that feature RM Countryside. I can assure you that your request
is top on my list and I will ensure that you receive a formal response
before the close of business tomorrow.

I had chased the officer who was handling your request and had hoped you
would be sent a response as promised. I apologise for the fact that you
never received a response; this was partly due to staff changes and partly
due to administrative errors.

Information Requested

I can confirm that we have undertaken a reasonable search of our systems
and are unable to locate any other DPR’s for R.M.Countryside.

Once again please accept my apologies on behalf of the council for the
delays associated with your information request.
