Info, Colchester Borough Council

Dear Mr Hagon

Thank you for your email.

The Council does not hold specific details of the processors currently used by recycling contractors, however James Heys have confirmed the name and address of the plastics recycling processor they use in Turkey as:

Berat Pet Geri Donusebilen Mad. Tem. Nak. Iml. San. Tic. A.S.
Akpinar Mah. Ismet Atilla Bulvari No: 58
Sinanpasa – Afyonkarahisar

The plant sorts plastic into types, it is then broken down into flakes and cleaned. The flakes are moulded into products including bollards, recycling boxes, drainage pipes, park benches, food and drinks packaging and fleece jackets.
