Thank you for your request for information. Kent County Council's response
is as follows:
 
Your request for information has been interpreted as relating to
operational rather than closed landfill sites and the information provided
relates to this interpretation.
Contractor’s name: Kent County Council hold contracts with Three landfill
operators, specifically: Biffa Waste Services Limited, Veolia
Environmental Services Limited and Viridor Waste Management Limited.
Date contract awarded: Biffa - 31 December 2011 / Veolia - 31 December
2011 / Viridor - 1 January 1998 and 31 December 2011
Contract expiry date (if fixed term): Biffa - 5 February 2015 / Veolia -
5 February 2015 / Viridor - 31 December 2012 and 31 December 2015
Contract value: All of the above contracts are Tonnage based.
Services provided: Landfill operations including reception, pre-treatment
and landfill of waste.
