Thank you for your request for information which we processed under the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.
Your request for information was for the following:
1. Please could you provide me with a list of Contractors which have been
used by Scottish Water in the 2016/2017 financial year.
2. If possible I would also be interested to know what Health & Safety
requirements you set out for these contractors.
In response to points 1-2
1. Please find attached a list of contractors which have been used by SW
directly in FY16-17.
Please note that these are the contractors who are:
- Identified on our ‘master supplier file’ e.g. these have been formally
procured by the Procurement & Supply Chain team
- Contractors on our ‘Approved contractor list’. These have not been
formally procured by the Procurement & Supply Chain team but have been
vetted as having the appropriate H&S accreditations to work on SW sites.
2. In terms of the H&S requirements, contractors are required to have one
of the following accreditations:
- Safe Contractor
- OHSAS 18001
- Safe Contractor
You can seek a review of this response within forty working days and
thereafter appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner.
