Continuing and Incoming Private Providers: 2023
Dear South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,
1. Please can you provide me with a list of private providers who have renewed their contracts and those who have been awarded new contracts within the SCAS territory, to provide the following services in the 2023 financial year:
- Frontline A&E Provision
- High Dependency Unit Support
- Non-Emergency Patient Transport
- Mental Health Transport
Please break this down by contract status (brand new provider vs renewals).
2. Please can you provide, with the above list of providers, what lines have been awarded and the following information:
- Location
- Shift Start Time
- Shift End Time
- Skill Grade
- Type of vehicle (EDCA, UEDCA etc).
3. Please can you provide, with the above list of providers, how many staff currently have a pin issued to them, or the prospective number of staff (for new providers).
4. In addition to 3, please can you provide the number of pins that have been suspended/revoked by the trust, and pins that have been removed by the provider themselves. Please break this down by PP, with the timeframe being since the PP started with the trust.
5. Please can you provide the number of serious incidents (SI), patient experience interactions (PEs) and DATIXs for each PP. Please let the timeframe for this, be the last two financial years and break this down for each financial year.
6. Please can you provide the callsign range/allocation for private providers.
Yours faithfully,
Robert Scott
