Dear Ms O'Shea
Thank you for your email as below clarifying the sites in which you are interested. Your original enquiry was as follows: The nature of contamination in plots by location, plot number, type of contamination and date tested.
We do not hold any information about the following allotment sites and are not aware that any testing of these sites has taken place: St Paul's, St James, Roman Amphitheatre, Whyke Road, Kingsham Avenue and Durnford Close.
With respect to Florence Road allotments - a site investigation was carried out in July 2006 by Bureau Veritas. The report concluded that some of the plots had elevated concentrations of contaminants, above the UK criteria for the assessment of human health risks (applicable at that time) and it was agreed that these plots would be taken out of use. The affected users were advised of these conclusions in October 2006.

The full report is available at our office archive in hard copy and as it a sizeable document, it is recommended that you visit our offices to view the report. A copy of the non-technical summary is attached for information - this may give you the information you require.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed to Jane Dodsworth, Head of Business Improvement Services.

Yours sincerely
