Contact with NCCU regarding care home enforcement visits
Dear Home Office,
Please treat the following as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Published guidance on enforcement visits to care homes and care providers (available here: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk...) notes that "if at any stage of the operation, owing to unforeseeable circumstances, a resident of a care home or someone receiving care from an agency is likely to become left without necessary care, medication or
facilities, then you must:
• inform social services
• commence critical incident procedures and contact the command and control
unit"
Please disclose:
- on how many occasions critical incident procedures have been commenced in relation to enforcement action at a care home or care provider
- on how many occasions immigration enforcement has informed social services in relation to enforcement action at a care home or care provider
Please supply the above statistics for each year from 2015 to 2019 inclusive.
Yours faithfully,
Mary Atkinson
