Contact between the Marr Show and Arron Banks
Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Is there correspondence between the Marr Show and Arron Banks concerning Mr Banks' appearance on the Marr Show on 4th November 2018? In particular, I would like to see correspondence concerning the initial arrangement for the interview - who contacted who, and when.
Yours faithfully,
Dr Paul Bernal

Dear British Broadcasting Corporation,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of British Broadcasting Corporation's handling of my FOI request 'Contact between the Marr Show and Arron Banks'.
The request was refused on the basis that it was an issue of journalistic freedom - I do not believe that to be the case. What is being requested is about the timing and direction of the contact, not anything to do with the contact itself. There is a distinct public interest in this, as evidenced by the more recent developments surrounding Arron Banks - the ongoing NCA investigation is just part of what is happening. The BBC should be open about its part in the story. Addressing this FOI request could be part of that opening.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Dear Paul,
Thanks you for your email, unfortunately the BBC does not offer an internal review when the information requested is not covered by the Act. If you still disagree with our decision you can appeal to the Information Commissioner.
Contact details are: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, tel: 0303 123 1113 or see https://ico.org.uk/.
Please note that should the Information Commissioner’s Office decide that the Act does cover this information, exemptions under the Act might then apply.
Kind regards
