Consumer research on raw milk

The request was successful.

Dear Food Standards Agency,

In February 2018 you published a paper based on some consumer research, here:

https://www.food.gov.uk/sites/default/fi...

Please would you provide me with the full questionnaire.

Please would you advise how the consumers were selected, how many were asked to complete the questionnaire, how they were contacted and in what format where the questions asked/submitted, i.e. online, in person, etc.

Yours faithfully,

Christine Page

Hi Christine,

Thank you for your email to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act).

Your request is for the type of information which we have readily available and which we usually supply as part of our normal business. Therefore, we are providing you with the information on that basis outside of the terms of the Act.

How were the consumers selected?
Consumers were selected from an online panel to complete the questionnaire on their milk consumption habits based to be nationally representative. The survey was sent out untargeted, and then quotas were closed out as needed to ensure groups were not overrepresented.

How many were asked to complete the questionnaire?
In total, 9000 invitations were sent out by the online panel to their panellists.

How were they contacted?
Respondents were contacted via email from the panel directly, inviting them to take part if they were interested.

In what format were the questions asked/submitted?
Online.

Many thanks,
Grace
