Consultation with local parents on annexe proposal

The request was successful.

Rebecca Hickman

Dear Mr Holding

Please could you send me:

- Details of any consultations you have undertaken with current and prospective local parents about SWBGS's proposals for a satellite site.

- Details of any modelling you have undertaken or commissioned (including related emails, meeting notes and other documents), which shows or discusses how a satellite site could affect the prospects of Bucks children securing a place at SWBGS. (This might include modelling relating to more children of higher prior ability from RBWM sitting the exam and the consequential impact on the standardised pass mark. It might also include modelling around a changed catchment area or changed point from which distance to school is measured for the purposes of oversubscription criteria.)

- Any documents regarding the proposal for a satellite site which address your projections around a) the total number of additional places the new site may provide, and b) the proportion of those additional places that it is anticipated would be for children from Bucks, for children from RBWM and for children from other areas.

Many thanks for your assistance.

Best wishes
Rebecca Hickman

Dear Mr Holding

On 23rd May I sent you a FOI request seeking information relating to SWBG's proposal for an annexe.

By law, your response was due several weeks ago. I would be grateful if you could send me the information requested as soon as possible and by the end of this week at the latest.

Many thanks.

All best

Dear Ms Hickman
Thank you for your e mail, received this morning.
I apologise for the delay in responding to your FOI request of 23 May.
The material had been prepared within the expected time lines, and I
thought that it had been sent to you.  However, this appears not to have
been the case, for which I accept responsibility.  The material is now
attached to this email  We have provided all available information apart
from our report, commissioned by and provided to Windsor and Maidenhead
council, which we had understood would be considered in their June
meeting.  We understand that they will then make the full report
available.  We do not have any further information about either the
outcome of that meeting, or whether the matter has indeed been discussed,
so you would need to refer to them for this.
Yours sincerely
Dr Peter Holding

Dear Dr Holding

Many thanks for your email and the attached information.

I am writing to request an internal review of your response on the following grounds:

- I am grateful to receive the information bundle but it does not directly answer my specific questions. Could you confirm that this means that:
* SWBGS has not undertaken any consultation with current and prospective local (including Bucks) parents about SWBGS's proposals for a satellite site. (Point 1 of my request)
* SWBGS has not undertaken or commissioned any modelling which shows or discusses how a satellite site could affect the prospects of Bucks children securing a place at SWBGS. (Point 2 of my request)
* SWBGS does not have projections around the proportion of places at the satellite site that it is anticipated would be for children from Bucks, for children from RBWM and for children from other areas. (Point 3 of my request)

- For each redaction, please could you explain which exemption you are relying on and how this has been balanced with the public interest test.

Many thanks for your assistance.

All best
Rebecca Hickman

Thank you for your additional e mail.
My apologies that we have not directly answered your specific questions.
I confirm that we have not undertaken any consultations.  However I should
also point out that SWBGS has not made any proposals relating to a
satellite school.
I confirm that the answer is no to your second question.
I confirm that the only data relating to the third point was that which
was provided by Windsor and Maidenhead which was contained in the bundle.
The redacted material related to other matters not connected to the issues
you have raised.  I apologise that I am unable to provide the specific
exceptions on which we rely until I return to work.  However, I have
decided to respond in this way in the interests of speed as the school
will now be closed for summer holiday and I will be abroad until mid
August.
Sincerely
Peter Holding
