Dear Enfield Council,
The Council has been set a target to reduce spending by £65 million over the next three years. In order to achieve "savings" the Council has engaged consultants rather than use in-house expertise.

Can you please provide details of all consultancy organizations currently in use by the Council and been used over the past year. Please provide a brief description of what they are consulting on - for example, PWC - Restructure; KPMG - Waste Collections. Please list if consulting on more than one objective.
How many consultants have each of the organizations identified provided the Council?
What is the cost of each consultancy contract?
How much is the Council paying per consultant?
When was each of the consultancy contracts signed and how was this tendered.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Jones

Dear Enfield Council,
The Council has been set a target to reduce spending by £65 million over
the next three years. In order to achieve "savings" the Council has
engaged consultants rather than use in-house expertise.

Can you please provide details of all consultancy organizations currently
in use by the Council and been used over the past year. Please provide a
brief description of what they are consulting on - for example, PWC -
Restructure; KPMG - Waste Collections. Please list if consulting on more
than one objective.

I have attached a spreadsheet of all contracts registered on our system
that are in place this Calendar Year as requested. The Title and Category
columns provide a brief description in most cases but do not have more
detailed information than that.

All contracts for Enfield are also available to view via London Tenders
portal  see this link:

How many consultants have each of the organizations identified provided
the Council?

This information is not available as it is not held centrally.  The
information would have to be sought on an individual basis with each
contract manager and even then there will be flexible resourcing levels in
some circumstances.

What is the cost of each consultancy contract?

Estimated Value is on the list of Contracts that is supplied.

How much is the Council paying per consultant?

I am unable to provide this information as the individual cost per
consultant is commercially sensitive.

When was each of the consultancy contracts signed and how was this
tendered.

I am unable to provide the information on when each contract was signed
but the contract start dates are included on the attached spreadsheet.
Each contract was awarded in accordance with the Council’s Contract
Procedure Rules – this will vary by contract dependant on value i.e.
contracts under £75,000 may have been subject to quotes, those over
£75,000 subject either to tender or calling off from framework agreements.
