Consolidated Fund Accounts 2022/23 Receipts Breakdown

Hugh Goggin made this Freedom of Information request to HM Revenue and Customs Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

HM Revenue and Customs did not have the information requested.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

Would you please confirm whether the receipts stated as those reported under the heading HMRC in the Consolidated Fund Account at £605018m include Council Tax? If so, would you please quantify the amount of Council Tax included.

If not, please advise why Council Tax is not defined as public revenue for the purpose of the opening statement made on page 5 of the accounts as follows: “The Consolidated Fund (CF) was first set up in 1787 as ‘one fund into which shall flow every stream of public revenue and from which shall come the supply for every service’.”

Yours faithfully,

Hugh Goggin
