Conservation Area Status and Protected Trees

Leeds City Council did not have the information requested.

Dear Leeds City Council,

Where an area of Leeds is designated as being a Conservation Area, what public consultation and engagement is undertaken to ensure residents are aware that awarding Conservation Area status also may confer Protected Tree status on trees within said area.

Provide details of all standard engagement and consultation forms and letters sent out to residents, landowners, tenants, and ancillary land owners in relation to the above for Calverley in the years 2000-2017.

Yours faithfully,

Joe Marjoram

DPFOI, Leeds City Council

Dear Leeds City Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Leeds City Council's handling of my FOI request 'Conservation Area Status and Protected Trees'.

The PDF document provided is a very interesting summary of the Conservation Area AFTER IT HAD BEEN INTRODUCED.

I requested information on the consultations undertaken and responses received BEFORE the Conservation Area was extended/altered.

Specifically - what consultation was undertaken with landowners (whether Freehold, Leasehold or other forms of passing tenancy) as to the implications of the Conservation Area on trees within its geography.

Am I to presume from the inability to answer this question that no such consultation was undertaken?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...

Yours faithfully,

Joe Marjoram
