Consent for Angus Energy, Brockham Oil Wellsite
Dear Oil and Gas Authority,
I'd like to request copies of the consent the OGA issued to Angus Energy for Brockham Oil Wellsite on 14 December 2016, as well as a copy of the corresponding application.
Could you please clarify whether the consent authorised drilling and what was the planning permission on the basis of which it was granted.
Yours faithfully,
Ada Zaffina
Dear Oil and Gas Authority,
In follow up to my original question, I would also like to ask if it's possible for the OGA to specify the length, depth, deviation and direction of the sidetrack drilled in January (BR-X4Z)
Yours faithfully,
Ada Zaffina
Dear Oil and Gas Authority,
This is a further follow up since my email messages to <[email address]> remain without reply. Could you please treat the original and the two follow up messages as a single request. This was originally filed 28 March.
Could you please clarify whether the OGA has confirmed the renaming of Brockham-X1 well to BR-X4Z.
This was reported in the company's press releases on 26 January with reference to 18 January statement.
Please see below links to both:

Dear Oil and Gas Authority,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Oil and Gas Authority's handling of my FOI request 'Consent for Angus Energy, Brockham Oil Wellsite'.
I am dissatisfied with the handling of the request made on 28 March 2017.
My request was simply for a copy of an OGA consent and corresponding application, as well as answer to a simple procedural question regarding planning documents
According to the government document: 'Onshore Onshore oil and gas exploration in the UK: regulation and best practice: "OGA grants consent to drill only once all permits are in place and all relevant consultees have been notified." Therefore, it should be a matter of simply checking the consent documents to verify the planning permission on the basis of which the consent was granted.
Could you please explain why extension is needed and how it is impractical to comply with the 20 working days response time period because of complexity and volume of information required for response to my straight forward request and question.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
Ada Zaffina
Dear OGA FOI requests,
Following on my request for internal review of the OGA's handling of my FOI request and in accordance with the Government Customer Excellence standard (http://www.customerserviceexcellence.uk....), I am forwarding all of the correspondence I have had with you to Dr Russell Richardson - the OGA Company Secretary for his urgent consideration. My correspondence with you is TIME SENSITIVE and I cannot understand why you need an extra 20 days to answer my questions.
Yours sincerely,
Ada Zaffina

Dear Ms Zaffina,
Thank you for your email of today, 27 July.
The well Angus re-entered, Brockham X4, was named the Brockham X4Z when it was side tracked. For information please see the PON12 guidance on well naming - https://www.ogauthority.co.uk/exploratio...
I apologise that this information was not included in your original FOI response.
I hope that this provides the confirmation that you are looking for? If not, we would be grateful if you could clarify exactly what you mean?
I hope that this is helpful.
Yours sincerely,
Strategy Directorate.

Dear Ms Zaffina,
Thank you for your further follow up email, again of today, 27 July.
We do not have any documents relating to the renaming of Brockham-X1 well to BR-X4Z. As per our previous response, it was the Brockham-X4 well which was renamed Brockham-X4Z after the drilling of a sidetrack by Angus Energy. The well naming and renaming process follows a set standard as per the PON12 guidance we provided a link to in our earlier response.
I hope that this is helpful.
Yours sincerely,
Strategy Directorate.
