Dear Mr Moore,

Thank you for your recent request for full details of the terms and
conditions relating to two Sport England grants for the Hervey Road Sports
Field.

Sport England has awarded the following grants in respect of Hervey Road
Sports Field:

1.    £65,000. (Protecting Playing Fields, April 2016).

2.    £280,000 (Improvement Fund, March 2015)

I have attached copies of both Award Agreements for your information;
these documents set out the full terms and conditions associated with
Sport England funding.

Please note that the terms and conditions of the Improvement Fund
generally will take precedence over the conditions of Protecting Playing
Fields Award – this is to avoid onerous duplication of requirements on the
awardee. However the requirements for grant security stipulated in the
Protecting Playing Fields Agreement (clause 1.3 and standard terms and
conditions number 7) still apply.

It is important to bear in mind that, to our knowledge, no construction
works have started at the Hervey Road site as yet. A formal tendering
process has been undertaken by the Council to agree a long term lease to a
third party who will manage the proposed facilities on behalf of the
Council. No Sport England funds will be released until the lease is agreed
and our consent has been confirmed.

This completes our response to your information request.

As a public body, Sport England is subject to the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 and this means you are entitled to complain if you
are unhappy with the way we have handled your information request and/or
ask us to review our decision.

If you would like to complain about the way we have handled your request
or ask for our decision to be reviewed please contact:
