East Dunbartonshire Council

Dear [name removed]

Thank you for your request for review. We would like to clarify that the
Review response you received on 10/2/23 covered this query.
When we logged and allocated the initial enquiry to our Finance Team they
included all 6 of the charities that you requested information on as part
of a grouped enquiry.

Mermaids Trans Charity
Stonewall Scotland
Equality Network
Scottish Trans
LEAP Sports Scotland
LGBT Health and Wellbeing

On 3/12/22 you submitted 6 enquiries. As these covered the same subject
matter it was considered helpful to collate these into a single request and
respond to each question together. I regret that this was not made clear to
you in the initial response you received on 9th January 2023. The heading
used related to the Mermaids Trans Charity whereby Finance mention two
charitable donations made by schools to this particular charity. It should
also have been clarified at that point that the Council does not fund any
of the other charities. Our apologies for this confusion.

Furthermore, the review that was submitted to yourself on 10/2/23 also used
the title of Mermaid Trans Charity. Again, this may have caused confusion
as to whether or not it was just this question that had been reviewed. I am
happy to clarify that the review covered all the organisations, listed
above, that were referred to in your enquiry. To be clear, the Council does
not fund any of the above charities in question.

Please treat this response as relevant to each of the individual requests
for review above and again, our apologies for any confusion or
inconvenience.

Yours sincerely

Steven Gardiner
