The request was successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to make a request as regards to the concessionary travel arrangements in your authority under the terms of Freedom of Information Act.

1. Does your authority provide concessionary travel passes to those individuals registered with their local Social Services department as disabled on the grounds of being a mental health user or survivor?

2. If your authority does have such arrangements why was the decision taken to extend the scheme in this way and what arrangements are in place?

3. If your authority does not have such arrangements does your authority have some other arrangement beyond the statuary minimum to provide passes to those with mental health issues?

4. If your authority does not have such arrangements why was the decision taken not to extend the scheme in this way and has consideration been given to extending the scheme in this way in the future?

5. Would it be possible to provide copies of any relevant policy documents you may have?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Eriksohn

Dear Mr Eriksohn,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request Concessionary travel passes

I am writing in respect of your email enquiry dated 30^th January 2009 for
information under the Freedom of Information regarding concessionary
travel to which Derbyshire Dales District Council's response is as
follows:

1. Does your authority provide concessionary travel passes to those
individuals registered with their local social services department as
disabled on the grounds of being a mental health user? No

2. If your authority does have such arrangements why was the decision to
extend the scheme in this way and what arrangements are in place? Not
applicable

3. If your authority does not have such arrangements does your authority
have some other arrangements beyond the statutory minimum to provide
passes to those with mental health issues? No

4. If your authority does not have such arrangements why was the decision
taken not to extend the scheme in this way in the future? There are
no plans to extend the scheme in future. Derbyshire Dales operates the
scheme in partnership with other local authorities within Derbyshire.
These include Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council and all
other Borough and Districts. Derbyshire County Council has conducted
further consultation on the scheme. The closing date for this was 6^th
February 2009.

5. The scheme is operated in compliance with the Department for
Transport Guidance issued in February 2008, a copy of which is
attached, together with a copy of the National Concessionary Travel
Scheme application form used by this council.

I hope this deals with your request. If you are unhappy with the outcome,
then you have the right to complain to the Complaints Officer at
Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town Hall, Matlock DE4 3NN who will
provide you with details of the Complaints Procedure. Alternatively,
having exhausted the Council's complaints procedure you may complain to
