Dear foi,

I note the text in capitals. It is clear from the nature of my request and the mechanism used to transmit it to you what the purpose of the request is and it is also clear that there will be no re-use after you reply to my request. I am therefore confident that I need make no further application for re-use.

BTW, if I were to wish to apply for reuse then the link given does not work so you might want to fix that.

Yours sincerely,

Dear foi,

I realise that it is possible that the subject I used on this website doesn't necessarily get through to the respondent (you) so, to assist, here is a clearer version of my original request. If it turns out that it still proves too expensive, then please, again restrict it to March 2011:

In respect of any possible redevelopment of Ely City Centre, could you please provide me with any briefing materials - presentations, guidance notes, memos, emails etc that may have been provided to
any or all Members of the Authority (that are not in reports published on the eastcambs.gov.uk web site) this calendar year that make mention of the possible redevelopment or change of use of any or all of sites known as The Grange, The Courthouse, The Lamb Hotel or The Paradise.

Yours sincerely,

Rupert Moss-Eccardt

Readers will note that East Cambs District Council believe that users of WhatDoTheyKnow must apply for reuse before the information appears on the website. This is, I believe, incorrect, as the use (putting it on the site) is clear in the requesting email they get.

I've received a CD with some stuff on. Just waiting for the covering letter which should explain what's covered by copyright etc.

The covering letter that arrived points to the re-use of information statutes again
