Dear Mr Rawsthorne,

Further to your request dated 9 March, 2017, under the Freedom of Information Act, the answers to your questions are detailed below:

The scores achieved by applicants to Queens’ in the CSAT this year were as follows:

100, 95, 91, 74, 74, 71, 89, 82, 77, 76, 71, 65, 65, 65, 64, 62, 62, 51, 45, 37, 33, 75, 73, 53, 39, 59, 55, 53, 47, 47, 43, 42, 39, 39, 37, 37, 35, 35, 35, 30, 29, 27, 27, 27, 26, 23, 23, 22, 21, 21, 19, 15, 13, 9, 6 , 6

The range of interview scores was from 3.5 to 9.5 with a mean of around 5.8.

We made 7 offers. For offered candidates, the minimum offer score was 7.5 and CSAT result 71; for non-offered candidates, the maximum interview score 8 and the maximum CSAT result 59. Of our pooled candidates, the maximum CSAT result was 89 and the maximum interview score was 8. Please note that these figures do not necessarily apply to the same candidate. 5 candidates received offers from other colleges through the pool.

We are unable to give more specific detail due to the requirements of not disclosing personal data and so are invoking a section 40 exemption in this regard.

In relation to the last admissions round, we do not hold data on CSAT scores for any candidates. For those candidates we made offers to, the minimum interview score was 8 and 3 candidates received offers through the pool from other colleges.

Last year the CSAT was marked by our Director of Studies. This year the scripts were marked by a team of markers for the Computer Laboratory centrally.
