Thank you for your email/letter dated the 21 April 2011 in which you have
requested among other matters how many employees (including chief
officers) have signed compromise agreements since 2007.

We are considering your request under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, and hope to respond within the statutory 20 working

Further to your email dated 21 April 2011, in which you have requested
information in respect of compromise agreements. We have considered your
request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and are
able to supply you with the following information in response to your
questions below.

Please find attached a PDF document that contains the requested

Please note that "grade" and "team" details have not been provided, as
they are considered in this context to be exempt information. I am unable
to provide you with this information under the exemption provided by
Section 40 (2) of the Freedom of Information Act, as it is believed that
disclosure of the "grade" and "team" details may constitute personal data
as defined under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA). As disclosure of this
information is likely to lead to a breach of the provisions of the DPA
(i.e. the identities of the individuals concerned), and we do not have
their consent to disclose this information to you; neither do we consider
it reasonable in all the circumstances to disclose the information to you
without their consent as they are owed a duty of confidentiality.

If you are dissatisfied with the way the council has handled your request
under the Freedom of Information Act you may ask for an internal review.
This should be submitted to us within 40 working days of this response.
You can do this by outlining the details of your complaint and either:
