Complete Non-Residential / Business Property Rates Data (Q1 2018)

The request was successful.

Dear Harborough District Council,

In terms of the Freedom of Information Act of 2000, and subject to section 40(2) on personal data, could you please provide me with a complete and up-to-date list of all business (non-residential) property rates data for your local authority, and including the following fields:
- Billing Authority Reference Code (linking the property to the VOA database reference)
- Firm's Trading Name (i.e. property occupant)
- Full Property Address (Number, Street, Postal Code, Town)
- Occupied / Vacant
- Date of Occupation / Vacancy
- Actual annual rates charged (in Pounds)

If you are unable to provide an absolute “Occupation / Vacancy” status, please provide the Exemptions and / or Reliefs that a particular property may be receiving.

Please provide this as machine-readable as either a CSV or Microsoft Excel file, capable of re-use, and under terms of the Open Government Licence.

I last requested this data three months ago, and this is a request for an updated and current dataset.

I'm sure you get many requests for business rates and responding and managing these FOIs must be costly for you. Could I request that - as more than 53% of local authorities already do - you update and release this dataset via a dedicated page on your local authority website or on an open data service. I can recommend approaches for you to consider, and you should find that this reduces the time and cost of this request process.

Yours faithfully,

Gavin Chait

Latest update on bin collections missed on 27^th, 28^th and 29^th December
2017

Our bin collection crews are continuing to work hard across Harborough
district to collect all scheduled bin collections, as well as missed
collections due to last week’s severe weather conditions which saw
collections suspended due to snow and ice.

Extra resources are being made available and crews will be working extra
days on Saturday (6 Jan) and Monday (8 Jan) to ensure collections happen
as quickly as possible.

Today (Fri), all normal scheduled bin collections will take place.

We also have a crew returning to Broughton Astley today (Fri) to collect
any recycling bins missed from last week which they were not able to
collect yesterday.

We also have crews completing scheduled collections and collecting black
bins missed from last Friday in the villages of:

·         Arnesby

·         Bruntingthorpe

·         Upper Bruntingthorpe

·         Walton

·         Ashby Magna

·         Peatling Magna

·         Peatling Parva

·         Willoughby Waterleys

Other villages – including Fleckney – will have a scheduled bin collection
today (Fri) as normal.

Any bins which were not collected last Friday will be collected either
today (Fri), tomorrow (Sat) or Monday (8 Jan) at the latest. Residents are
being asked to keep bins presented.

Any black or recycling bins not collected last Thursday will be collected
tomorrow (Saturday 6 Jan).

We are asking residents not to report bins as a missed collection; but
instead leave any missed bins presented and crews will endeavour to return
and collect.

There will be further updates on the council’s website and on social
media.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents for their continued
patience.
