Dear Adrian

Enquiry regarding: Complaints/Reports received regarding the Surrey County
Council/Suez Eco Park, Charlton Lane, Shepperton.

Thank you for your enquiry which was received on 12 December 2019.

We respond to requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and
Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Please find attached a spreadsheet of all pollution incidents / complaints
relating to the Eco Park. The search is from Grid ref: TQ 0848368646 for a
2km area and is the appproximate centre of the Gasification and AD plant.

The spreadsheet is filtered to allow you to highlight the specified
results, but I have provided the spreadsheet unfiltered to see all
incidents witihn 2km of the site (Grid Ref: TQ0848368646) . This provides
the full dataset for you to process.

Commissioning Updates for the Charlton Lane Eco Park.

Both the Anaerobic Digestion Plant and Gasification plants were in their
commissioning phases and both were receiving and processing wastes during
2019.

The operator produces periodic updates for the Commissioning of the
Charlton Lane Eco Park which are published on the Charlton Lane Eco Park
website ([1]https://www.ecoparksurrey.uk/).

The progress on the commissioning of the various permitted operations on
the Eco Park can be found on the following webpage
[2]https://www.ecoparksurrey.uk/news/updates

Point for Clarification:

Your FOI request states that the Surrey Eco Park consists of an Anaerobic
Digester plant and a Gasification plant, this is incorrect.

In addition to the Anaerobic Digestion Facility and Gasification Facility
the Environmental Permit which the Environment Agency issued for the
Charlton Lane Eco Park also includes the following waste operations:

·        A community recycling centre

·        A road sweeping bulking facility

·        A recyclables bulking facility

Please refer to [3]Open Government Licence which explains the permitted
use of this information.

Please get in touch if you have any further queries.  If you want us to
review the information we have sent, please contact us again within two
months from the date of this email.

Yours sincerely
