Quickie Divorce is part of UK Digital Solutions Ltd and Fields Associates Ltd aka Fields Data Recovery Rapid Data Recovery Tribunal Action

Their basic trading premise is Market Domination through misinformation.

There are several CCJ's against various Fields Operations all based at Fields House Bridgend

Astonishingly, I was sent an apology email offering no money back but a £25 discount on my next divorce !!

- The email came 3 months after my original complaint
- They consistently sent out the wrong forms resulting in two, forty mile round trips to the court in Oxford
- They don't answer the phone. Phone calls are ignored
- In the end I handled the divorce myself.

If more people actually complained to Trading Standards about Quickie-Divorce.Com and their other sites something might actually get done about it. The trouble is people can't be bothered to complain and they know it.

Sadly this is the truth, in spite of being conned, few bother to actually make a report because it wont benefit them immediately.

But think of the next poor sod to be stuffed by these clowns, failure to make a report directly enables the subsequent cons.

I separated from my husband and after two years thought Quickie Divorce would be ok. We had already divided the money, sold the house, sorted out our possessions and the children are now in their 40's - no problems. Should have been a simple rubberstamp divorce. However, when filling in the forms, I put the wrong Court address on and had to have it changed. Took 7 emails to do this and cost me an extra £10. I took the papers to the Court and the lady at the counter checked them for me. There was something I had missed and she told me what to put. No charge. Looking round the court waiting room, I saw a shelf full of envelopes of various forms. One was for a self help divorce. It contained ALL the forms which Quickie Divorce sent to me. FREE. I would advise if you need just a simple divorce, ignore this company. Go direct to the Court and save yourself some money, and hassle. I have sent Quickie Divorce an email saying this which they have acknowledged but I doubt if it will go on their website.
Sad to say, I have only just found this website.

Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Information Request 2666

I refer to your email dated 29 November 2010, which contained a request
for information. Following consideration of your request, and in
accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, I respond as follows:

Following a search of our records and having checked the companies
associated with the Field Group, I can confirm that as at 5 January 2011 a
total of 94 complaints have been received by the Authority either directly
or referred by Consumer Direct.

-------------
Thats a lot of complaints to not have responded to.

How many consumers do not know to complain to trading standards ?

I wonder if they accept the complaints from Europe and North America as well ?

I absolutely agree with these comments. I chose Managed Divorce on the basis that (a) my divorce is very straight forward and (b)I live in Austria. I paid up front for the 'assisted' service.
I thought that having the documents witnessed and notarised by the court in Graz would be acceptable, (which it is)and would cost less than me making a special trip to the court in England. They sent the papers back because the notary had apparently not 'exhibited' my wife's signature. I took the papers back to him and explained that by 'exhibit', it apparently meant that he had to sign beside the signature itself and not just to witness my oath. For some reason, the company decided that the notary's signature and/or official stamp was not in English??????? They posted all the forms back to me.
However, despite having the correct address on all of the forms and my personal details on their records, they sent them to the wrong address in Austria. They were sent back to Wales by the Austrian Post Office. After many international calls and pointless discussions with the so-called 'customer services' team plus promised phone calls from 'management' that failed to materialise, the best suggestion that they could make was 'print all the forms out and have them re-notarised'.
I am now planning to ask my wife's solicitor to sent me another copy of the D10, whereupon I will fly to England and have it all done at a court myself. Believe me, that is easier and cheaper in the long run than relying on this company.

I am known for being quite critical of the Fields Group after being threatened by their Chairman Dr Daryl Hamilton Wallis that he would put me out of business and out of my home for pointing out his staff were making false claims about my company, and deliberately damaging drives they could not recover to prevent my company making a profit.

How many other competitors has he threatened ?

We know his staff make numerous threats to their clients and victims.

He tried to carry out his threat and took me to court in an attempt to use his "in-gouse" legal team to sue me for damages.

However the Judge saw through the Fields Groups copious paper evidence and "mulcted them" I was awarded more than they attempted to sue from me.

We are currently awaiting the outcome of the High Court Injunction brought against the websites www.data-recovery-blog.co.uk and www.data-recovery-blog.com

What has become apparrant is that they are not an Investor in People accredited company and they are settling out of court with many of the victims.

Beware they have hundreds of websites and are backed with grants in excess of £180,000 from the Welsh Assembly.

Co-incidently the Fields Group have loaned £250,000 to a South East Asian operation they own.

This was at the time when dozens of fake data recovery review websites, and testimonials in favour of Fields were published online.

Surprise Surprise they proved to be all fake !
