Dear Freedom of Information,

Sorry if it’s unclear, I appreciate they were quite long! It would be for 2015 to present if that’s possible?

Yours sincerely,

K Dandy

Freedom of Information,

Dear K Dandy,

In order for us to process your request, some clarification has been
requested in relation to Q9 and 10. Please note that this clarity is
needed for all 3 requests.

 9. The number of adults in Trafford who requested or were referred to you
for a mental health assessment, how many of these assessments were
actually provided and how many people were then a)provided with
secondary care services, b)provided care coordination/ CPA, c)
provided with services under the care act :- What is meant by mental
health assessments, each service will have their own assessments
depending on why the client was referred. We can provide details of
how many referrals were made to Adult services, if that is what is
meant? Further clarification is also needed on 9c).

10. -The number of adults in Trafford with mental health needs who
requested a care act assessment, and how many of these assessments
were actually provided. We are not aware the Trust has a Care Act
Assessment per se. Can you clarify what type of information you are
trying to obtain?

Kind regards

Dear Freedom of Information,

9. The particular assessment information requested is relating to secondary mental health services via CMHT and whatever assessment determines eligibility for secondary care services. Then statistics in relation to what the outcomes of these assessments were e.g. secondary care services provided, or care plan and care coordinator provided or none.

10.In terms of care act support, people with mental health needs will be entitled to access an assessment of their needs under the care act 2014 for care and support services. Different local authorities have different approaches to coordinating with the mental health teams. If you could confirm for each what the approach is in that area and how eligibility is determined for care act services? Are people with mental health needs referred to adult social care for the assessment? Or are they completed by CMHT mental health social workers? How many people have therefore either been referred to adult social care for these assessments, or had them via CMHT. Some CMHT's seem to incorporate them into the mental health assessment?

I hope that makes a little more sense.

Yours sincerely,

K Dandy
