Dear Sam,

Thank you for your request made under the Freedom of Information Act,
received in this office on 2 June 2009.

Exeter City Council has not received any complaints in the past five
years regarding the teaching of Darwinism.

I would advise that Devon County Council is the Local Education
Authority (LEA) for Devon and is therefore responsible for schools.
Their contact details are as follows: Information Compliance Manager,
Strategic Intelligence, Room L10, County Hall, Topsham Road, Exeter, EX2
4QD; [email address]; telephone: 01392 384679.

If you have any complaints about the way your request has been handled
please write to the Complaints Monitoring Officer of the City Council or
complete the online complaint form that can be found at
www.exeter.gov.uk/complaints. If your complaint is not resolved to your
satisfaction you have the right to apply to the Information Commissioner
for a decision.

Kind regards
