Complaints made against police officers

The request was successful.

Dear South Wales Police,

How many complaints have been made by members of the public in regards to police failures? This should include exactly how many complaints have been passed to professional standards and or being currently investigated by the IPCC in 2013/2014

Exactly how many complaints have been made in regards to officers who are accused of misconduct and are the subject to investigations by professional standards and the IPCC in 2013/2014

How many of these complaints have resulted in officers being prosecuted and indeed suspended from duty as a direct result of a complaint of misconduct in 2013/2014.
Yours faithfully,

Mrs Martin

Dear South Wales Police,

In 2013/2014 how many members of the public made formal complaints to Professional Standards Department reporting misconduct by officers working within south wales police?

Out of these figures, how many complaints were escalated onto the IPCC as a direct result of the complainant being unhappy with the outcome of a professional standards investigation?

I am interested in finding out how many people made complaints about misconduct of officers.
I hope this clarifies the position and indeed helps in the supply of the information that i request.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Martin
