Complaints email

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Child Maintenance Service should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Child Maintenance Service,

Can you please provide an email address for complaints about CMS. The online messaging system doesn't work, it crashes and you can't see send messages or upload documents it is also impossible to speak to anyone via phone. Previous complaints on the online messaging system have been ignored.
Please also provide the details of CMS complaint policy and internal guidance regarding complaints handling.

Yours faithfully,

Eva Sheffield

The response from the service is not correct. The service can receive emails but does not like to. All published communication by the service requests communication via the “preferred” communication of the “CMS web portal”. The CMS web portal however is not GDPR compliant as there is no way to view messages sent to the service after they have gone and there is anecdotal evidence to say that the service selectively delete and add communication to the records. Emails can be sent to Arlene.Sugden@dwp.gov.uk (the director general), correspondence@dwp.gov.uk and for litigation issues: CM.litigation@dwp.gov.uk

Dear Child Maintenance Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Child Maintenance Service's handling of my FOI request 'Complaints email'.

Please answer this point too.
Furthermore, the email means of communication must be provided as means of reasonable adjustment.

Hi Eva,

Can I suggest the latest response from the DWP is also untrue.

An email address does exist and is promoted. As are complaints via email in general with other DWP departments. Please see for example the following recent link:

http://thcan.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2...

Also what the DWP formally issue as a contact email address for key staff at the CMS:
https://data.gov.uk/dataset/dbdf0bef-f47...

The answer is clearly false. It would be great to receive formal acknowledgement of that.

Kind Regards,
