The total number of the above appeals which have been upheld by Thames Valley Probation Trust.

Thames Valley Probation

Dear Sir

Further to you email dated 8th December 2012 in which you requested
information concerning the numbers of complaints made against Thames
Valley Probation during the period 1st May 2011 to 31st October 2012

The information is as follows;

·    There were 72 formal complaints received by Thames Valley Probation
Service of which;
·        6 (six) resulted in an appeal to the Thames Valley Probation
Trust of which 1 (one) has been partially upheld and 0 (zero) fully upheld
·        5 (five) have been or are currently being investigated by the PPO
of which 0 (zero) have been upheld and 4 (four) are currently undergoing
investigation.

We would also point out that of the above, just one complaint originated
from the Banbury office and trust you would therefore agree that your
assertion of us  "providing a very low standard of service especially in
the Banbury area" is
unfounded.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Gower
