The request was successful.

Dear Charity Commission for Northern Ireland,

I am writing to request information to which I am entitled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

This request is about complaints made to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland about students' unions.

I request the following information:

1. The number of complaints made to the Commission against students' unions since 2010, broken down by the year in which the complaint was recieved.

2. The number of complaints made to the Commission against students' unions since 2010 because the union has engaged in political activity, broken down by the year in which the complaint was recieved.

3. The number of the complaints described in 1. and 2. that resulted in an investigation, broken down by the year in which the complaint was recieved.

4. The number of the complaints described in 1. and 2. that resulted in the complaint being upheld, broken down by the year in which the complaint was recieved.

5. A list of students' unions that have been investigated by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland since 2015 with the date the complaint was recieved, a description of the complaint where possible and the outcome of that complaint.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

J Morewood

Hi
I presume you are enquiring about the Ulster University Students' Union, as there does not seem to be any others, either called forward or registered. You may wish to visit probityaacni.uk in case we can be of any help. Quite often the CCNI process can take an inordinate amount of time only to be refused at the expiration of the time limit. If there is a specific point you are attempting to gain information about, or anything that might be of concern, please let us know.
Kind Regards
Probityaacni
