Complaints about government departments reports 2019 - 2022
Dear Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman,
It is impossible to find the reports listing complaints about government departments on your website. The search function throws up documents in random date order (including many very old reports) and with random content. Even after a thorough search, I have been unable to find the following documents - hence this FOI request.
Complaints about government departments end-of-year data for; 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22.
I would be grateful if you could provide me with direct links.
Yours faithfully,
Della Reynolds

I find the whole PHSO website very difficult to navigate. There seems to be no logic to it and things come to the top out-of-date order. I would hazard a guess that they don't want to make it too easy for people to find information!

I too find it difficult to navigate. I often have to go round the houses to find what I want.
This is the 404 error I was referring to:

Unfortunately, the LGO and ICO are also not fit for purpose.
Both completely ignoring the truth, preferring to believe my local council’s fabrications.

You are not alone in experiencing the PHSO 404 error. It can be infuriating!
This online version of this PHSO document does not contain a page 9:
https://www.ombudsman.org.uk/sites/defau...
The graph on page 9 (Annex B) includes important information. A person unaware of the graph's existence who came across the online would be none the wiser. I had previously seen the graph so knew it existed.
'Annex B – Referrals by MPs to PHSO, 2020-21
‘In total 2,653 complaints were referred to PHSO by MPs during 2020-21.
Just under three quarters of MPs (73%/473) referred five or fewer complaints to PHSO during 2020-21 (including MPs who did not refer any complaints to PHSO). Just under a quarter of MPs (22%/144) referred between 6 and 10 complaints.
71 MPs did not refer a single complaint.’
The version to download with page 9:
https://www.ombudsman.org.uk/sites/defau...
We can only speculate why the version that the public is most likely to see lacks the revelatory graph.
