Dear Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Compensation to Doctor of 4.5 million GBP'.

Reason long over due, no response received, authority in breach of the FOI Act.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,

P Foomer

Unwin Ruth,

Thank you for your email  dated August 16^th requesting an investigation
into the response to your FOI request. I am grateful to you for providing
your email trail which has been very helpful in enabling the Trust to
review your file.

Can I apologise that it appears a response to your request was prepared in
January 2012 but was sent back to the person who had supplied the
information because it had not been responded to adequately to meet our
obligations under the Act.

It appears that the file was then treated as closed and your subsequent
emails were not followed up. This is clearly an unacceptable situation and
I can assure you that we are currently reviewing our systems for managing
FOI requests to mitigate the risk of this situation arising again.

I will ensure the request is now actioned and will provide a response to
you as soon as possible,

Having had to request an internal review to get a response to the original question, the answer is rather vague, but to be expected.

I look forward to the internal review response.
