Companies issued licences in relation to the National Lottery
Dear Gambling Commission,
Please could you list all companies which the Gambling Commission has licenced with regard to gambling software and gaming machines related to Camelot and the UK National Lottery?
If at all possible, could you please provide the dates each licence commenced and expired.
Thank you very much for your time.
Yours faithfully,
Chester J. Lampwick

Dear Freedom of Information, Gambling Commission
Thank you very much for your reply but I think you have misunderstood my question, I am not requesting a list of companies which are licenced to sell National Lottery products. I am requesting a list of companies the Gambling Commission has licenced to provide the software and gaming machines associated with the National Lottery.
For Example: Gtech Corporation was licenced to provide the gaming terminals and related software for the National Lottery games between 1994 and 2004?
International Gaming Technology PLC have been licenced by the Gambling Commission to provide the gaming terminals and related software since 2015. https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/pu...
Please could you tell me which company or companies, other than Gtech Corporation and International Gaming Technology PLC the Gambling Commission, has licenced to provide gaming terminals and software related to the running of the National Lottery?
If possible, please could you include the dates which these licences were issued and expired.
Thank you very much for your time.
Yours sincerely,
Chester J. Lampwick

Dear Mr Lampwick
Thank you for your request which has been processed under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
In your email you have requested a list of companies the Gambling
Commission has licenced to provide the software and gaming machines
associated with the National Lottery.
The Commission is responsible for licensing and regulating the National
Lottery, ensuring the interests of participants are protected and
maximising returns for Good Causes.
The Commission does not directly Licence any company to supply gaming
systems to the National Lottery, as it is a matter for the operator of the
National Lottery to engage with suitably qualified and regulated companies
in order to meet the outcomes of the Lottery Licence.
This information may be processed by Camelot, as the operator of the
National Lottery, it is their decision who is permitted to sell National
lottery products.
Please note, the Commission does licence organisations who provide gaming
systems to the gambling industry (which is why they appear on our public
register of licencees), however these organisations may also supply gaming
systems to the National Lottery, but this area of their work is not
licenced by the Commission.
In conclusion I can confirm that the Commission does not hold information
that falls within the scope of your request.
