Companies contacted for covid testing
Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
Pursuant to FOI request FOI-1240120, please treat this as a new FOI request.
In your response you have stated that Thermo Fisher was the only company shortlisted for providing Covid tests.
Please provide a list of all companies considered and all companies contacted in the process of producing said shortlist.
You also said that Thermo Fisher passed all due diligence at the time of registering for the procurement framework. Please provide the date that Thermo Fisher registered for this framework initially and dates for any updates to that registration such as reregistering after a standard period.
Please provide details of how regularly and frequently companies need to refresh or update their registration with the procurement framework.
Yours faithfully,
Robert Davidson

Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
Please will you provide an update on the timescale for this request and your response .
Yours faithfully,
Robert Davidson
Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Department of Health and Social Care's handling of my FOI request 'Companies contacted for covid testing'.
I fully understand that the department must be busy at this time but the delay has been more than excessive and when I asked for an update on timescales several weeks ago, no response was ever sent by the department. It is understandable that transparency be delayed but not that it be removed completely during this crisis.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/c...
Yours faithfully,
Robert Davidson
Dear Mr Davidson,
Thank you for your email. I apologise for the length of time it is taking to respond to your FOI request.
DHSC does not conduct internal reviews until a response to the initial case has been issued. Although organisations can choose to conduct an internal review to assess the handling process where they have taken more than 20 working days to respond, DHSC uses the internal review process once the initial case is complete to ensure that any exemptions that have been used have been applied correctly, and that all information within the scope of the request was considered.
We will therefore not be conducting an internal review. We will respond to your FOI request as soon as we are able.
Yours sincerely,
FOI Team
Department of Health and Social Care
