Community Protection Notices issued

For the most recent year for which you have the data, please can you provide the following information:
1. How many Community Protection Notices (CPNs) have been issued by the council, or individuals acting on behalf of the council? Please break this data down into each activity for which the CPN was issued.
2. How many CPNs were subsequently violated, broken down by activity as above.
3. What action was taken as a result of this violation, broken down by activity. If fines were issued, please provide the total value of fines issued.
Please provide this information in an electronic format.
If it is not possible to provide all the information requested due to it exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance under the Section 16 obligations of the Act as to how I can refine my request.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding Community Protection Notices.
1. How many Community Protection Notices (CPNs) have been issued by the
council, or individuals acting on behalf of the council? Please break this
data down into each activity for which the CPN was issued.
Seven CPNs were issued
Two of these were to the same person (the second one had additional
conditions attached)
The CPNs were issued for anti-social behaviour and drug related disorder.
2. How many CPNs were subsequently violated, broken down by activity as
above.
Three were breached (all ASB and drug related disorder)
3. What action was taken as a result of this violation, broken down by
activity. If fines were issued, please provide the total value of fines
issued.
One was prosecuted and was fined by the court
All three (including the person who was fined) further offended and last
month received custodial sentences for their offences.

Hi Tom
The cases where we served CPNs had multiple types of ASB within each case.
These included:-
- fighting
- noisy disorder at a property
- drugs being stored at a property
- damage to property
- alcohol related disorder
- cuckooing
- intimidating behaviour
The 3 CPNs which were breached were escalating in severity into more
serious criminal activity hence police prosecutions.
