Dear Staffordshire County Council,
Could you please provide me with a list of the community groups that have expressed an interest in managing local libraries (and the names of the associated libraries) following the recent consultation (as referred to in the recent Sentinel article: http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Volunteer... )
Dear Mr Beardmore,
Thank you for your request for information.
I can confirm that at this stage interest has not been formally recorded as the proposals have not yet been agreed by Cabinet and consequently the formal bidding process has not begun.
The proposals will be discussed at the cabinet meeting taking place today. Depending on the outcome, details of the formal bidding process will be released. Through the public consultation we are aware of interest in all 6 libraries however details of formal bidders will be published on our website in the future as a formal list is not currently held.
If you have any queries or require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me.
In the first instance if you have any comments relating to how your request has been handled by our authority, please write to Lian Stibbs, Access Manager, Information Governance Unit, Staffordshire County Council, Wedgwood Building, Block A, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH.
