Sue Talbot made this Freedom of Information request to Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust did not have the information requested.

Dear Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust,

I am informed by Community Equipment Services that aids and
adaptations are no longer collected for re-use/re-cycling, but that this may be done by charities.

Following a letter to my MP I am advised by the former Secretary of State for Health that decisions on return and re-use of aids and adaptations that are no longer required by the person(s) for whom they were provided are a matter for the PCT.

Please provide me with evidence of:
a) the legislative basis for this change in policy;
b) full minutes of the meetings at which this policy decision was made and the rationale for such a change;
c) evidence of cost comparisons, including full accounts of both social and environmental costs using Triple Bottom Line accountancy principles and methods;
d) a copy of the environmental impact assessment;
e) evidence of the consultation with a range of charities on which to base the assertion that 'charities will collect for re-use'

Yours faithfully,
Sue Talbot
