In order to better understand how your Council deals with this issue I have a information request.
1 - Who is your current Community Equipment Service provider?
2 - Do you have a joint contract with one or more local Clinical Commissioning Groups?
3 - If yes, could you please provide the names of the CCG or CCGs that are part of the joint arrangement?
4 - What is the population covered by your community equipment service?
5 - What date did your current contract start?
6 - Could you please provide the financial value of pressure care products that you use per year?
7 - What brand do you tend to use regarding pressure care cushions?
8 - Could you please provide the financial value of the pressure care cushions per year?

To be eligible for the provision of equipment and/ or minor adaptations
via the  ICES pooled budget, people should be:

 

•             18 years of age and above and

•             ordinarily resident  in East Sussex, or

•             registered with an East Sussex GP, or

•             live in a care home in neighbouring or other counties but
are registered with an

              East Sussex GP, or

•             have been placed out of county in a social care placement
funded by East

              Sussex County Council, or

•             funded by another authority in a care funded placement and 
are  registered

              with an East Sussex GP, or

•             serving a sentence at HMP Lewes

 

5.    What date did your current contract start?

6.    Could you please provide the financial value of pressure care
products that you use per year?

 

The net spend on catalogue pressure care equipment for the financial year
2016/17 is £157,810, In addition to this £7,901.85 was spend on non-stock
equipment. The total spend on pressure care products for 16/17 is
£165,711.85

 

7.    What brand do you tend to use regarding pressure care cushions?

 

Our catalogue products are manufactured by Ultimate, Frontier,
Parkhouse/Drive & Recliners

 

8.    Could you please provide the financial value of the pressure care
cushions per year?

 

The net spend of pressure care cushions for 2016/17 is £ 52,083.04
