FOI, Sport England

Dear Mr. Cunningham,

Thank you for your email below in which you request information about
possible Sport England procurements. Your email was received on 9 April
2020 and has been passed to me as I am responsible for responding to
requests for information held by Sport England. Let me apologise for the
delay in acknowledging your request, this is as a result of altered
operating circumstances at Sport England for which we provide more detail
below.

As a public body, Sport England is subject to the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act 2000  and we will handle your request in accordance with
their terms. We will provide you with our full response promptly and
usually within twenty working days. In some circumstances we may extend
this to allow us to consider the public interest; if this is necessary in
your case I will write to you again and explain why.

At this stage it is important to advise you that Sport England just like
many other organisations and the nation generally is dealing with the
severe impact of the coronavirus pandemic on human, physical and
technological resources. These impacts have led to delays in the delivery
of our timescales, should this affect the delivery of a response to your
request we will advise you and request an extension.

I will be in touch again in due course and in any event not later than 12
May 2020. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me if I can be of
any further assistance.

Kind regards

FOI, Sport England

Dear Mr Cunningham

I write further to your request for information and our emails below.

We have now considered your request and I am writing to let you know that
the information you require is not held by Sport England.

This is because Sport England’s Active Places national sport facility
database holds information on a number of different sport facilities in
England only.  This includes Main Sports Halls and Activity Halls if they
provide a sport capability.  For more information see -
[1]https://www.activeplacespower.com/sdm.

Some Activity Halls may happen to be Community/Village halls but we cannot
be certain of their other community uses, such as a place where local
members gather social support, public information etc.

We have now closed your request on our records. I am sorry that we cannot
be more helpful.

Kind regards

Yemisi Abiodun Information Governance Manager
