Dear Ms Bambang
I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Request (FOI 7526) dated 22nd January 2019
Please find attached copies of all written communications between Trafford Council and any primary schools in Trafford regarding the delayed admission of summer born children into school or admission out of normal age group. We cannot provide additional information because it is either confidential or could only be found with a manual trawl through individual files from 2014 which would exceed 18 hours.
Notice of Refusal Issued under Section 12, Freedom of Information Act, (2000)
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Trafford Council has a duty to supply any information on request, unless there is an exemption. For this FOI request, it is estimated that the time taken would be in excess of the statutory 18 hours’ time limit because we do not hold the information in the format requested. To produce this information it would require an officer to manually access and review all the files to identify “informal enquiries” then calculate the numbers .Therefore in this instance, the following absolute exemption applies to some of the information you have requested, Notice of Refusal Issued under Section 12, Freedom of Information Act, (2000).
I hope this is helpful however if you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your original letter and should be addressed to: Information Governance Manager, Trafford Council, Town Hall, Talbot Road Stretford M33 0TH or via email to [Trafford Council request email]
Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
Kind Regards
Tracy
