Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you for your response (and by the way, I really like that you've got a disclosure log).

Two quick clarification points...

1) You've given data for adults - could I have the information on devices supplied for children?

2) Really none? In the whole of Surrey? I'm amazed...

Yours sincerely,

Joe

Dear Joe

Further to your email below, I can advise that NHS Surrey has not purchased any paediatric augmentative and alternative communication devices during the period in question.
You may wish to direct your enquiry to Surrey County Council who provide these devices as an educational need to enable children to access the curriculum.
http://www.surreycc.gov.uk/sccwebsite/sc...

I can confirm that no electronic speech aids have been supplied by NHS Surrey in this period. However, two adult patients had access to loaned equipment during this time. For your information I can advise that we currently have two ‘Lightwriters’, which are specifically for patients during assessment with a Speech and Language Therapist.
