Thank you for your request for information received on 28th June 2013 concerning Communication 
between Arcus and N&SDC regarding the planning application for a wind turbine on Wigsley Old Airfield, 
Wigsley, planning application 13/00682/FUL. 
This request has been handled under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. 
I can confirm that Newark and Sherwood District Council has, other than information publical y available on 
the application submission, two items of correspondence between Arcus (not Arcas as originally stated in 
your request) and Newark and Sherwood District Council. 
Unfortunately some of the information has had to be redacted under regulation 13(1) of the Environmental 
Information Regulations 2004.  Regulation 13(1) exempts personal information that is not that of the 
applicant from disclosure, the condition set at 13(2)(a)(i) states that where disclosure would contravene 
any of the principles in the Data Protection Act 1998, the exemption is absolute and therefore does not 
require the public interest test to be considered.  In this instance I am of the opinion that if the information 
in question were to be provided the Council would be in contravention of principle one, fair and lawful 
processing.  The redacted information is one signature and one email address. 
Therefore, in respect of this part of your request and in accordance with the Environmental Information 
Regulations this letter acts as a Refusal Notice.
