Dear Gillian,

I am writing with respect to your Freedom of information request and can
now respond as follows:

There is no one document that covers the common law duty of care, but it
is discharged through our curriculum, teaching, academic support and
supportive monitoring, and the range of support delivered through our
Student Support services. Information on our support services can be found
at [1]https://norwichuni.ac.uk/university-life....  Our
commitment to the health and wellbeing of our staff and students is
embedded in our Strategy
[2]https://norwichuni.ac.uk/about-us/info-p...
and this underpins our policies, procedures and practices.

Our Child Protection and Adult Safeguarding Policy is attached and
outlines our overarching duty of care and how we support those who are, or
who are at risk of becoming, vulnerable. This contains guidance on
referral routes for raising concerns. Our Student Regulations and
Procedures (also attached) contain information on how we support students
through managing engagement, supportive monitoring, and extenuating
circumstances.  These documents are undergoing revisions for the new
academic year.

I hope this is of assistance and is sufficient to meet your requirements,
but if, for whatever reason you wish to get back to me, please feel free
to do so.  If you are unhappy with the information provided or how your
request was handled, please let me know and I will explain how you can
request an internal review of this decision.

Please quote FOIA 668 in any further correspondence concerning this
request.

With kind regards

Angela
