Dear Hampshire Constabulary,

Hampshire Police, tweeting today, under the Portsmouth Police account, have stated:
"After having the issue raised to us by many members of the public, on Wednesday 28th of October between 9.30am and midday the Charles Dickens team will be hosting an operation stopping people from cycling through Commercial Road #CycleSafety #NeighbourhoodPolicing #CharlesDickens"

In the interest of transparency, in relationship to this action, please can you :
1) Provide the total number of complaints received
2) For each complaint received in a written format, a copy of the complaint
3) The duration of time during which these complaints have been received (ie date of first written complaint considered for this action to date)

Please can you also provide :
4) The total number of reports/complaints received regarding poor/dangerous driving in Portsmouth during the period identified in Question 3)
5) the total number of collisions involving injuries attended by the police in the during the period identified in question 3)

The following request for information under the Freedom of Information Act
was received by the Public Access office at Hampshire Constabulary on the
date listed above:

Your request will be considered in accordance with the legislation and you
will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days,
subject to the provisions of the Act.  In the unlikely event that
Hampshire Constabulary is unable to meet the 20 working day deadline, you
will be informed as soon as possible and given a revised time-scale for
response.

 

To be accepted, any clarification(s) to your request must be submitted in
writing directly to the Public Access team at Hampshire Constabulary.  

 

If your request requires either full or partial transference to another
public authority, you will be informed.  Should you have any further
enquiries concerning this matter, please write to Public Access quoting
the reference number above.
